deejayjay-- I don't think that anyone was directing anything at you. Just the forumites being random.

In the words of PaulieD on Jersey Shore: "You do you. I'll do me."

No worries!

Ok, I will deny this in my real life...but my forum confession is I watch Jersey Shore..and that PaulieD is just a cute little thing :D
On STJ..I'm with the others, I never drink at home..but on island time, it's rum time :P

Snorkel naked! :D By the way I haven't had a drink since 01/17/1989 so alcohol is not the reason, must be the beautiful water.

Ok here's my question.. how and when do ya'll do all of this nekkid snorkeling??

Do you just get brave when no one is around and head in?

Or do you get in and take the suit off once you're in the water?

Just trying to get a handle of the logistics of it all.

With my luck I'd be alone on the beach when I head in and then a catamaran would drop off about 100 tourists by the time I got back to shore. 8)

Gromit, I don't do this at Hawksnest, Trunk Bay, Caneel Bay etc. But go to Lameshur, Kiddle Bay or Haulover and well all bets (swimsuits) are off. I actually enter the water dressed and proceed to remove the suit after swimming from shore. Then I snorkel for a while. Before getting close to shore I'll slip it back it on. My wife thinks I'm crazy and would never do this.

Regarding the drinking and driving/open container laws on STJ mentioned toward the beginning of this post, I know nothing about them except for what the car rental lady told us "it's okay to drink and drive, just be discreet about it" :)

You know how when you get engrossed in snorkeling and you unexpectedly see someone else snorkeling that you didn't know was also there? I've been really startled sometimes by this. Think how startling it would be if that person had everything liberated, so to say. I know my initial freak would be big. Then it would be amusing.

I spend money like it's monopoly money..not on jewelry or gifts, but starting at the airport on mints or gum or People Magazine or bad for you food, or alcohol. I'm on vacation, right? The money can't go home with me for God's sake!!!!!

Then when on island, it just doesn't matter. We travel with groups and I'll buy groceries every time if they let me (which thankfully, they don't). I'll pick up the tab at any bar....maybe that's the alcohol :P

Like several of you have said, I'll wake up at 5am...and get up! Just can't help myself.

Like another poster...potato chips like they were just invented....NEVER at home!

LOVE IT!
all you have to do is smile, smile, smile
