Trail mix, I make my own, and cheese and crackers. Never eat trail mix except when travelling.

We usually bring turkey sandwiches, chips, a bag of several different types of loose candies-(Amy opens them all up & dumps them into a "grab bag"),trail mix, swedish fish, Nature Valley Nut clusters, and cookies.
I think we're going to try for a little more "cheese, cracker, and fresh fruit" mixture for our menu down to Va. this fall...gotta' have those nutclusters, though...!

Things I never buy unless we are going on a plane or a road trip are:

plain m&m's dumped in a ziplock with a container or peanuts mixed in

or chocolate covered almonds

My husband's road trip food is Funions (I don't even know if that's how you spell it)
