BVI day trip

Post by kristen1206 »

Trying to decide if I want to go on New Horizons II so we can see the Baths and Jost and not have to spend a fortune in gas. Or if we just want to use Palm Tree Charters and do Jost and Sandy spit etc. We could also add on Norman Island and Indians. Are those must dos? If we could find two more people, the charter would be a no brainer. Going the last week of May if anyone is interested!

Find a way to do the charter with Capt John. I think that having the option to do what you want with the day, just makes it so much better.

If you like snorkeling, the Indians are a must IMO.

We had a great time with Palm Tree Charters, but didn't spend the extra time and fuel money to get to the Baths. Still want to do that one of these days. Maybe take the ferry one day over to VG.

Next time I do it I'm gonna drink, just not so much. Good thing Capn John makes a video so I remember what I did that day.

Thanks everyone. While I think it would be great to have a private charter, I also think it would be fun to be with other people since the 4 of us will have a lot of together time for rest of the trip! :) glad to hear of the positive experience on NHII. Capt John gets awesome reviews all around so that was never in question.

Piscesgirl...did you feel rushed at all at any of the stops or did there seem to be enough time for everything? And how many people total were on your trip?

We want to go during the middle of our stay which would be a Saturday or a Sunday. is one day better than the other as far as crowds or any goings on at the beach bars, for example?

Thanks!

We did a private charter of NH, which is the only way you can set the itinerary yourself. Otherwise, they go to VG, Marina Cay for lunch, they JVD.

I inquired if it were possible to do VG, then Norman for lunch/snorkel, then JVD. It was not recommended, as it would cut down on the time in White Bay, which I do not recommend either :)

Is it possible to take a charter if there are only two of you? The cost of chartering a boat for just the two of us would be a bit out of our price range.

Hi there
We didn't feel rushed at all. There were six of us in our group...5 adults one child. I feel the same...it was nice to socialize with other folks...when you get to Jost/Soggy Dollar you will have to jump off the back of the boat and swim to the beach...It was fun! They provide noodles/life jackets for the folks who may need it. Lunch on Marina Cay was nice as well...like I said, definately worth it and would absolutely do it again!
