STJ = Aphrodisiac........

Lark22: I never had facial hair until our first STJ trip. I didn't shave that week and my wife liked it so much she won't let me shave it off now.

You may not want to mention it to your husband, but the Sea Vision Ultra Masks are great for guys with facial hair.

Sounds like a lot of naked drunks. In case this is scary to any newbies or lurkers. I don't drink, and am rarely ever naked. I love going to st John and have never really noticed a lot of "naked drunks" so NO WORRY MON.

I think there are many of us that do not drink. We've just learned to keep our mouths shut so we don't get flamed... :)

Spend carelessly!

Motto (we all know it!): Bring half the clothes (or less if you're Jimmy) and twice the money.

At home - I'm borderline "cheap". On STJ - I just don't care. We'll spend more on our bar bill than dinner - and feel really GOOD about it!

Love this thread!

This may be off topic becaue we're STT people, but I just love to sit out on the balcony and watch people..nothing better.

If I'm on my way to STJ, a must is doing the ferry at night, watching the stars, just beautiful. In fact, all you STJ people, it's worth the ferry fare to take it back and forth. Just relax and look up.

I like to drink but I am not a big fan of being naked...unless I am drunk at the villa and there is a pool. We had a pool for years and I never once got in it naked...drunk or not. It must be the island.

I agree with Connie. We took the 8:00 ferry back from STJ to STT and it was so beautiful. We got a seat on top and just enjoyed the ride. The boat seemed like it was going really slow and that didn't matter one bit. I wondered if they went slower on purpose or if we just had a really slow boat :lol: It was like taking a private charter for only $6 each! Spectacular night sky with tons of stars :)

So now I really understand why posts say only bring half the clothes you think you need, a lot of people only wear them half the time :)

For me who has a serious computer/iphone addiction, it's the only place I go where I'm cured. Also, we rarely turn on the tv on St John except last year we watch the super bowl.

Best idea I've heard in a long, long time. In fact, you get my vote for "Idea of the Month".

I wore my long underwear over my swimsuit on the beach and just didn't give a damn.

(Used for warmth in the water and rash guard on the beach. I had two sets...black and white. Embarrassed the hell out of my family no doubt.)

ifloat. My husband does the long underwear thing too. He's cold alot. But to his credit, I must say, he wears the black smooth microfiber long underwear that he wears for skiing, and I doubt anyone can tell it's not a rashguard. (But now we all know)

And. . . for those of you that I sense are making fun of my non drinking comment. I wasn't being critical of naked drunks. I was just saying that even if you didn't get drunk or go naked, you would still have a great time. And you would never even notice all those who were. Not like some islands with nude beaches and lots of beach bars.
