Interesting Forum Facts
Have you ever clicked on the "Memberlist" option right above this area? Then, towards the top go to "select sort method." You can find out all sorts of cool facts about who posts the most, etc.
The thing that I took from all of this is that, Jorge, you must be bringing a laptop to the construction site.
The other interesting thing is that there are close to 850 people registered on this forum...the majority of whom never post. I wish they would...it would be nice to hear from some different "voices."
The thing that prompted such geekishness on my part was that I noticed I was approaching my 100th post. But, then I looked at the stats in the memberlist area and realized that I'm just a posting pup compared to others.
Anywho...the memberlist area is pretty neat.

Ok, so you outed me!
The answer to your question, cypressgirl, used to be yes, "at work."
Until mid-January, I was working as an admin for a small sub-prime mortgage company. I started there last May and business was booming! By about October things started slowing down, until they went "belly-up" in January. I was SOOOO bored there that all I did all day was hang out on the forum so I've got lots of posts to my credit during that time.
When I got laid off from the mortgage company, what did I do? Went to work for a CPA at tax time!! WHAT was I thinking?? There's no time to go to the bathroom, much less get on the forum. In the past couple of weeks, I've gone on a couple of times mid-day when everyone else is at lunch, but for the most part, I can only check the forum at 6 a.m. and then again when I get home from work. Then I'm on and off all night
I've become bi-video! TV and the laptop at the same time! Oh God! I've become a techno geek! And in my purse I have a cell phone, and iPod and a digital camera!
I see that Mary Beth is a contender for Forum Queen, however! Go Mary Beth!

We refer to that as "post pumping" on my BBQ forumMarcia (Mrs. Pete) wrote:One more for me. I'm now up to a whopping 90 with this submission.
You know, there are some people who post just to post and some people who post memorable posts.
This, my friends, is just a post to post.

Pete (Mr. Marcia)... Unfortunately, on most forums the vast majority of members are either lurkers or register and never come back. I've never found a good way to lure them out. For whatever reason they are happy where they are. I have two buddies on the BBQ forum who have been members for thee and four years and have only posted once or twice. I know that they read the posts because they will send me e-mails about something that so-and-so said, but they just don't like to post.
As you can tell... I don't have that problem

Ok, that's it. I am checking myself into STJ/FORUM rehab. I mean I am worse than Britney, though I haven't flashed anyone in ages....
I can't BELIEVE I am in the top 10. VICKIH & GROMIT you are embarrassing. I thought for sure we'd be neck and neck.
Very interesting, Pete. Thanks for sharing. I am thinking that the 8 weeks of maternity leave bumped my numbers up a bit. I mean what else are you gonna do when the little bug sleeps 90% of the time. At least that is MY STORY and I am STICKING WITH IT! Sorry to shout.
