I'm pretty sure that SOonthebeach indicated that it re-opened in time for them to eat there the last day of their trip.
You can look for her trip report to confirm.

Is the beach bar a fun place to hang out with families of teenagers? My kids won't be drinking so I wondered if they would be comfortable.

YES!
Open for business and we always go there several times with our kids. They are 10 and 6- and love to play on the beach and climb in the trees. Teenagers would love to hang on the beach or window shop. Lots of fun things to do for the kids while the parents can relax. Love it and highly recommend!

Thank you. I thought it sounded like a lot of fun but I don't want my guys to be uncomfortable.

They won't- it's VERY laid back- no "scene"- awesome.
