Help: Need pic of ferry dock fence at Cruz Bay

Post by Gromit »

Hey guys, need your help!

I am dealing with some complete and utter ridiculousness with the Pentagon and pedestrian access right now and in working with some of my team I mentioned the Cruz Bay ferry dock as an example of why their proposal is completely ridiculous.

Does anyone have a good pic of the fence at the Cruz Bay ferry dock? Preferably a shot that's framed so that anyone can see how easy it is to access the dock on either side of the fence and how ineffective the fence is?

I know I've seen a pic like this on the forum before but searches don't seem to work.

Disclaimer: I would need to SHARE the photo with people for my purposes. I will not be taking credit for the photo, or making money off the photo but it will be used as an example of wasteful homeland security efforts and funds with some key folks (I'd tell you who but would have to kill you if I did) for the purposes of discussion.

Any help you can provide would be great!!

Gromit you could just take a screenshot of the spicecam. Or just show them the spicecam link....it's pretty obvious how useless the fence is from the angle of the spicecam.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Splash that's a good one. Anyone have a shot of the fence from the water looking to shore?

Tell your associates that STJ runs on the "Honor System!" The new security fence is even funnier. Think Terrorists From Tortola.

Splash's picture, in this context, if funny. You can hear the fence saying "No...no...no...please don't look at the little boat ramp to my immediate left. You can't use it. Nope...certainly can not use it or the beach to its immediate left"

I sent the pics over to my "associates" and the immediate reply was, "That gate stays open all day doesn't it?"

To which I replied, "Given the location, does it really matter?"

Pip -- agreed. It's like a Monty Python sketch. "That parrot's not dead... only sleeping"

That's hilarious- I thought the same thing when looking at Splash's picture. That boat ramp is so obvious!

Gromit

Way too funny you bring back memories from when I was a construction/environmental compliance inspector when I was in the U.S. Army reserve. The fence is very logical it keeps bureaucrats on one side
