First Trip report day 3 & 4
First Trip report day 3 & 4
Day 3:
This was a recovery day. Started my day off by going into Red Hook to get an iced coffee at Lattes in Paradise, then to Marina Market to grab some more villa food. Then we vegged. Got our books and iPods and headed to the pool and spent the day there soaking up the rays. What is nice about Sapphire is the pool is located on the beach, so you have the best of both worlds.

My sister and I got take out from Burrito Bay, while some of the boys went and got pizza again from Island time for dinner. In bed early again as tomorrow was STJ day!
Day 4:
My uncle, aunt, and cousins were leaving this day so we made the quick stop at their villa to say our goodbyes and rub it in that we were staying Then myself, husband, sister, and husbands brother were out the door and got on the 10 am car barge to STJ. We always like to go to Trunk or Cinnamon Bay when we visit. But I wanted to try something off the beaten track (for us). So Francis was our destination. We got off the ferry and made a quick stop at Deli Grotto for some beach sandwiches and iced coffees. We then headed out on the north shore rd. Made a couple of stops at the overlooks so my BIL could take some pictures. Thank God we didn’t hit up Trunk. See all those black dots….cruise shippers.

What a great drive that was once you got past Cinnamon, very lush and green. We pulled into the Francis parking lot and were one of 5 cars there. We walked to the right and found a little alcove with a picnic table and ate our sandwiches. This day was extremely hot with no breeze.

So we spent the whole time in the water. No snorkeling at this beach, no one wanted to move from the shallows. We packed it up around 2 and headed out. By this time the whole parking lot was full and people had parked all the way down the access road. We got back on the road and made a pit stop at Cinnamon for showers and a quick change. Headed back to Mongoose to cruise the shops and get some drinks and chips and salsa. Got back on the 5pm ferry and headed home. It was my night to make dinner. We had marinated, grilled chicken breast, parmesan garlic risotto, and broccoli sautéed in garlic and olive oil. Delish, sorry no food porn. Another great day in paradise.

Burrito Bay in now open, but unfortunatly they do not have their act together. It's not the same burrito bay. They do not smother the buritos as they used to even though they still have it on the menu this way. The woman at the counter had to ask me what a wrap was again even though they have "wraps" listed on the menu. On Sunday we went to get sandwiches before we went to Megans and it was a complete disaster, all sandwiches were wrong even though I wrote down what needed to be on what. Sad because they did such a nice job renovating. That place could be a gold mine.
