Got my flights:
We are going to be in St. John for the busy season--holidays. I am really looking forward to it. I gave it a lot of thought and did a lot of research. My hope is that I will be able to chill and not have every second planned. My crew really likes having something planned each day for a few hours and then use the rest of the time to chill. We are going to have a nice pool and hot tub on this trip--so that is a bonus.
I have been reading about Jost . . . do you recommend taking the ferry? A water taxi? I would like to go to Jost and spend a little time exploring.
I would like to do the same at Virgin Gorda.
Prior, we went to Jost and Virgin Gorda with Lion in Da Sun . . . and we will still take a trip with them but might just ferry over for a few hours on our own to really spend some time on Jost and Virgin Gorda.
Also, we love Trunk and Waterlemon. So, we will make day trips to go there.
Any suggestions? The players are Mr. XOXO, me, 19 year old and 17 year old sons.
xoxo

We just did the ferry to Jost this trip and loved it- gave us abut 5.5 hours on the island and was $200 for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 kids under10)- including customs- can't beat it! Was very easy. Thought it was great and much longer time there than when we go on a charter. Went to Virgin Gorda with Palm Tree Charters (Captain Brandi) last year- he gave us plenty of time to explore the Baths, and still visited several other places after- would have had time to stay longer on VG if we had wanted. I think you can take a ferry there, too- through Tortola? Not sure. Have fun!

Thank you. I am trying to add things that we haven't done before. I think Jost is a go . . . maybe the dinghy.
Good luck with the flights Minde. The day after we got ours the price went up and would have been $1000 for the four of us. Plus, I used my points, so I feel I did the best I could. Our flights are so expensive from Omaha, especially over the holidays.

Wow! If your high price is 1000 for the the four of you, I'm very jealous!! That's low for here! It's 500-600pp at best!XOXO wrote:Thank you. I am trying to add things that we haven't done before. I think Jost is a go . . . maybe the dinghy.

We have always rented a charter for Jost, but the ferry looks like a nice option, esp. for less people!
