No, I am not making fun of my husband!

We were at a party last night and friend brought the most delicous cheeseball, I have ever had. It was made with Stonewall Kitchen Bluecheese mustard.
It was the hit of the party, people that did not like blue cheese and even the little kids loved it.



Blue Cheese Ball

Mix together 2 8oz packs of cream cheese at room temperature, 1/3 cup of Stonewall Kitchen Blue Cheese Herb Mustard, 3 Tbsp of both chopped green onion and crumbled blue cheese.1 clove of minced garlic, salt and pepper to taste. Form into a ball and roll it into ½ cup of chopped walnuts or almonds.

Sounds delish - I wonder what I could use instead of the Stonewall Kitchen Blue Cheese Herb Mustard as I don't think that is an option here :( (unless someone would bring me some on their next vist :wink: )

That sounds really good. I am going to make it!

The grocery near me has an entire floor to ceiling wall of Stonewall Kitchen products--it is such a nightmare, I am always picking up something new. Latest was a "blueberry mixer." It is concentrated blueberry juice that you can use for cocktails. I have not tried it yet, but I am sure it is good, like all their other stuff.

Pia, I'll check if the mustard is in the "wall of product" and mail you some if no one coming soon can bring it to you.

That does sound really good!

One cheese I really loved I picked up for a broker wine and cheese I was having last summer and haven't been able to find it since. It was Yancey's Fancy Wasabi Cheddar. It was green and delicious and I don't usually love Wasabi. I visited their website and they now have a Hot Wasabi Horseradish Cheddar but it is creamy white, so don't know if it is the same cheese. I can't find that around here either. Have any of you Boston area folks come across it?

I love that cheese! Our local stores started carrying it (I am in PA so no help to you) but prior to that, we had a network of people who would bring it back from NY for us.

Thanks everyone,

Haverhill is a hike from here because we have to go south to get off the island then north. I did notice on the website that I can order it by mail so I think I will. And I'm going to make that cheeseball, too!

My folks are in PA and have a Wegman's in Wilkes-Barre. What a store!

That cheeseball sounds fantastic. I'm going to look at our Wegman's, for the Stonewall Kitchen line.

OT: Wegman's ROCKS. Ours is only 5" from our house. I could not come up with one thing that Wegman's retailer could improve upon. If you arrive in the rain, they have people standing outside with umbrellas, to walk you in! I've thought of starting a blog of just all the things I love about Wegman's.

Since things are really slowing down on St John, I have time to scan the OT side of the forum. Always read about anything to do with food of course and I love this recipe. My reason for posting is for anyone that can not find that mustard, go to the Mustard Museum website. They have every mustard known to man and they ship to the VI without having to take a mortgage out for shipping. It is also a really fun site. You can buy a tee ship that says Poupon U!

Thanks Pat! We are mustard collectors...at least 6 different types in the fridge at a time. I will check it out!

I bought that mustard because of this thread. It's quite good; I would never have noticed it. I am going to make a little cheeseball this weekend to go with some other apps.
