3 day boat charter thoughts or idea's?

Post by Kealani »

My hubby is turning 40 and I want to do something fun. We just returned from a 10 day STJ trip- so we can only get away for 4 days. Has anyone done a short charter? Any idea the best place to research this kind of a trip? I am not set on a destination just some warm water (East Coast would be the easiest). I am looking for a powerboat. I don't want a cruise ship. Thanks for any help you may have.

A month or twe ago, there was an article in CondeNast about sailing from Cape Cod to the islands and back to the coast. Looked like a neat trip.

I know this suggestion isn't East Coast, but have you looked into houseboats on Lake Powell in Arizona, or Shasta Lake in Northern California? They're both absolutely gorgeous places!

Bermuda is just a 2 hr flight from Boston and you can rent a boat there to poke around. Also, don't forget the other cape, Cape Ann, 35 miles north of Boston. People call it the quiet Cape because it's not as "discovered" as Cape Cod but every bit (if not more) beautiful. Lot's of day charters available here.
