car barge capt vic

with a little luck our group will arrive sunday but probably not till 4pm. our 13th time for renting vehicle on stt and barge over to stj. we have made 6 oclock barge a few times on a 4pm arrival, but sure would be more comfortable knowing there was a later barge for backup.

seems like a few weeks ago pia or another local mentioned seeing capt vic in port after her refurbing, just awaiting coast guard inpection before returning to service. anyone know is she running on her posted schedule and if any of the other 3, mister b, general II, and slowpoke are not all running (at least currently)?

We rode the Captain Vic several weeks ago and she's looking real good. The owner is touting "on-time arrivals and departures" and on our trip, at least, that's exactly what happened. First time I've ever been on one of the barges that left exactly on time... The other 3 were also running at that time, but perhaps someone else can give you more current info.

As of Friday, 7/23, the Capt. Vic was up and running. On time. Crew were fast, friendly and efficient. $45 roundtrip. Mister B and General II were both running as well. Have a great time.

Capt Vic came back after a total refurbish on July 3rd. Their last run should be 7pm.But better check with them as they wee the only barge service that took time off for maintenance which was done on Sunday in the past.
