How long does it take to get from Marriott to Red Hook?

Hoping someone has the answer to this question:

How long does it take to get from Marriott Frenchman's Reef to Red Hook?

I can see the distance on the map but I know that distance alone is not an accurate measure on island.

Due to the scheduling of flights and ferry service we are staying one night on STT before heading over to Jost the next morning.

Ferry leaves Red Hook at 8 am and 2pm and I am debating which one to take (i.e. how early do I have to get up in order to make the first ferry if coming from the hotel?)

Part of me is just leaning to the afternoon (after all it IS vacation) but want to have all my options on the table.

Not long at all,maybe 15-20mins if you encounter any traffic which is not common on that road. It really is a very pretty scenic drive too.

Hi Gromit, I agree with STTLover that it's a lovely ride. I'd give it 20 mins at the minimum. To me it always seems longer than I think it will be and Mr Cat keeps having to remind me that we're almost driving to Town.

I guess we'll just decide how we feel and whether or not to try and make the early or afternoon ferry to Jost.
