Could you feel the quake much on STJ? I see it was centered around Charlotte Amalie.....

Was over in St. Thomas today and was just about home when the quake struck. Didn't feel a thing. Though I had experienced one in Coral Bay about 13 years ago; it gave the house a good shake.

How wild! We wondered what the heck that was, thought it was some really really large truck going by but there weren't any truck sounds. Our friends are from where the quake was in DC last week so they said "earthquake"! But we thought no way they were joking. Guess not. Like Pia writes, what an exciting week!

Don't mean to joke, but I am from California, and one that size doesn't raise eyebrows. By the way, the fault that caused the Haiti one runs parallel to Puerto Rico, so USVI will feel a lot. Cheer up,statistically, being in an earthquake zone is much, much safer than driving on US highways!
