for Calypso Del Sol. If anyone has any last minute input, please let me know! I think we will be very happy there but I can't help but wish Villa Bijou was a little less expensive. Just two couples and we want to keep weekly rate at $3k or below. I feel like I have looked at every villa on the island but if there is a great one I may have missed, please chime in now! Others we considered were Apito, Casa Bueno, Pink Conch, Bay Rum Breeze and Andante. They were each nixed for various reasons. A couple offered a discount, others not. I wish I could just make a decision and be happy with it. I think our villa in St. Martin spoiled me! (the villa, not the island)

Oh, also considered Bongo Bongo and Far Niete. Thanks for the PMs!

Villa Bijou looks great but you don't need 3 bedrooms for 2 couples. We stayed at Island Time at Devers Bay and loved it. As a matter of fact we're booked for 9days in February. They are managed by Caribbean Villas. Check it out. But do it fast, it books up really quickly.

Kristin, my advice: Take a deep breath, exhale, and put that payment in the mail.

The beauty of St. John is that no matter what villa you end up with, you're going to have the birthday trip of a lifetime!

No we don't need 3 bedrooms but many that I looked at (and Calypso as well) had 3 bedrooms. I did look at Island Time back whe I started the seacrh. I will re-visit. Thanks!

Thanks Vicki. I had considered just sticking the check in the mail and be done with it! I may just do that :)

Hi Kristen. We stayed at Calypso a few years ago, and had a wonderful time. There were three couples, and it was perfect! You will really love the place. The screened in porch is magnificent! Great views, great pool, we cooked out almost every night on the deck with a beautiful sunset.

My advice? Send the check. Calypso is a great villa!

I totally understand your hesitation because I have felt that way many many times but I'll tell you from experience that once you've made your decision (whatever it is, be it villa or other decisions in life) just do it and try not to second guess yourself or look back. The decision is made. Done. Move on to the next thing.
