Update - Called Verizon - Texting on SJ

So does anybody besides me have trouble with pic sending? I can txt but can't send pics.

I just called Verizon today since we will have five Verizon phones there next week. The Rep told me that calls are $1.99/minute and texts $0.25 to receive and $0.50 to send.

We do have an AT&T Go Phone that we bring if needed, but we really don't plan on calling much. We were more worried about the kids (3) calling and texting, so I had the Verizon guy turn off the kids texting effective the day we get to STJ.

Jayhawk, that was my experience with verizon.

I hate that it is so difficult to get a straight answer when you ask them what is the best way to minimize costs. And you can't find out what is going on with your bill til you get home and actually get your bill.

I called Verizon for the 3rd time and they said that they will charge me for voice at $1.99/minute. For txt in or out no charge, since I have an unlimited call plan. But I have no pic txting when on island.
