Mermaid Falls, Peace and Plenty Villas

Anyone have any experience with Mermaid Falls or Peace and Plenty?

We were wondering especially about the roads in Upper Peter Bay and Catherineberg, are they steep and are they paved?

I would definitely chose Mermaid Falls in Upper Peter Bay over Peace and Plenty in Catherineberg. No question about it. All paved easy road to Mermaid Falls. Rough road to Peace and Plenty plus it's a drive to the northshore beaches from Catherineberg whereas you're right there on the northshore in Peter Bay.

Mermaid Falls is on top of my list for a family trip in 2013 (our 50th Anniverary). We talked to a contractor while we were on STJ in May and he said his favorite house on STJ that he has ever worked on is Mermaid Falls. I think that's a good recommendation. Our friends stayed at Mermaid Falls, so we went by to look at it...AMAZING...the roads are great and the place is impeccable, and the views can not be beat..You will NOT be disappointed..I hope to get to stay there one day soon...

Thank you so much for the input. We usually give several options and let our family vote on their favorite. We have six on the list, each in a different area of the island-

Mermaid Falls - Upper Peter Bay
Peace and Plenty - Cinnamon Bay
Heavens Gate - Coral Bay
Casa de Sonadores - Virgin Grand Estates
Serenity - Francis Bay
Vida de Mar - Devers Bay

If our nephew goes with us we will probably consider Acqua Blu because it has a grand piano.

Well...we let them buy their own airfare and car rental. But they don't seem to mind when they have a beautiful villa on St John waiting for them.
