I Can't Weight
.
I Can't Weight
Great Ruth's web camera is right there, she can just go
out her door and wave at everyone. I get a webcam in my
neck of the woods and I have to swim in front of it to
wave at y'all. And we all know how much weight a camera adds on.
An underwater camera adds tons more. Tons and tons.
I'd better go dust off the snorkel gear & the Slimfast shakes...

It seemsto work fine for me (couldn't get the other underwater cams to work very well, though) - I am running IE. Honestly, though, I do not think I owuld have mounted it under the pier - it is not as good as I had hoped it would be!
Better than nothing, I guess! But I am still gong to watch the Spice Cam!
Keep Smiling!!!

Works fine for me without a hitch...using IE8 and said "yes" to running the plugin.
Where is this webcam? The lighting is low but the refresh rate looks pretty good...i could see fish swimming around...
Technology is pretty cool sometimes...

I use IE 8 and I had to run an add-on and give a special permission to allow the content, but I got a great picture! It went black after a few seconds, but after I refreshed, it was awesome. I like that it pans back and forth and not only do you see fish swimming around, there are some interesting structures down there too! The sparkle of the sun on the sea floor is cool to watch, too.
For your information...
A couple of days ago, I received this message on Facebook from Trevor Mendelow.
"After our success in installing a new camera system at VIERS in the Virgin Islands, the instrument was destroyed by lightning four days after we left. We have spent countless hours trying to determine the extent of the damage, and we are very grateful to Jamie and Randy who have worked tirelessly at VIERS to help us complete our testing."
