Attention Jack Johnson fans…

…and fans of John Mayer or Jason Mraz.

If you like that kind of music, check out the Quincy Mumford Band.

Who? This is a group of extremely talented kids from the Jersey Shore (the real Jersey Shore, not those a-hole shoebies on MTV) headed by a singer/songwriter named Quincy Mumford who just graduated high school. That’s right – high school. But, you’ll be amazed at the sophistication and quality of the music.

Disclaimer: we are good friends with the parents of the band’s guitar player, who is a freshman in college. That said, I wouldn’t even mention it here if I didn’t believe several of you Johnson/Mayer fans might enjoy it.

Lifted
Grateful
The Waiting Feeling
My Town
Angels Day
All We Need Is
and reggae influenced Can’t Break Free and Dock on the Bay
When we come to place where the sea and the sky collide
Throw me over the edge and let my spirit glide

Hate to 'put this out there', but-
We went to see Jack Johnson last year at the Susquehanna Center in Camden.
I thought it would be groovy, and a really cool scene.
Nope.
Lot's of fights in/out of the concert, and the crowd just seemed like they were there for all of the wrong reasons; puking, fighting, and urinating everywhere.
Where I understand people might judge the venue & visitors, it was just a little "much" for me, and I opted to leave early.Same type of episodes last year at the Kenny Chesney concert in Philly.
Maybe I just never noticed before, but I did the last few concerts I've been to.
I love the music, love to party, love the common "groove", but there's just way too many fights for me.
Guess I'm getting old. Sorry to preach, long night-
Listening at home is a different story, though!
I'll definately check out the other music you're laying on us. I'm sure it's gonna' be great.
Love the vibe, just not sure of the scene.
Did I mention that I'm getting old?
Groove on-
Smiles-
MJ
P.S.
Please don't take this post the wrong way.

Luv Jack Johnson for years now after several trips to Hawaii. I'll have to check out this band because if they are anything like him, I'm sure I'll luv it too!

Really liked it. I've been humming Lifted alot. I've been a Jack Johnson fan for many years. I first found him on a copy of a bootleg tape from a show maybe 2001-2003? that was labelled "Jack Johnson kid in a hoodie."
Thanks for sharing!
