Splendore or Bongo Bongo

Post by cjroyer »

Hi everybody,

We're planning our 4th trip for next May and it never gets any easier picking a villa. I think I've narrowed it down to Bongo Bongo and Splendore. It will be me and my husband and taking our 21 year old daughter for her first trip and her best friend.

Does anyone have any opinions as to which one would be a better fit? They're both beautiful and seem to be equal in ammenities. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks....

do daughter and friend mind sharing a bed? both beds at Bongo are kings. I don't know the set up at Splendore.

They don't mind sharing a King bed and both villa's have kings. I guess I'm looking for feedback from people who have stayed at either of these places. I can find a lot of reviews on Bongo but not so much about Splendore.

We stayed in Bongo Bongo a couple of months ago. I can help you out with any questions you might have with this villa.

cj...we've stayed at Splendore several times (the last being June of '09), so obviously we love the place. I'd be happy to help with info, but have never been to Bongo Bongo...so can't help much with comparisons.

Bongo is awesome and I would highly recommend. The bedroom by the hot tub is nicer, but not by much. Both are very nice, have refrigerators in both rooms, very fancy bathrooms, etc. This villa is awesome, beautiful views and full of amenities. We will definitely stay at Bongo Bongo again. I have never stayed at the other villa. Feel free to PM with any specific questions.

We stayed at Splendore and loved it. I have yabbered about it so much lately I will sound like a broken record. Huge tiled pool deck with plenty of sun and shaded areas. Hot tub with water fall into the pool. Very sunny location, nice area if anyone likes to walk. Huge kitchen, good quality kitchen gear, very well stocked house. Neat garden, yet indoor showers.

PM me with specific questions!

Bongo looks awesome too. Hard choice...

I stayed at Splendore back in 2003 and absolutely couldn't have asked for anything more. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms situated on opposite ends of the villa for privacy. Great deck and cascading pool with a view.

That being said, Bongo Bongo looks great. I like the covered veranda and wet bar. Do you care about the location of the spa to the pool?

Thanks for all your input. I've mailed our check this morning for Bongo Bongo! Both villa's looked so great and it was a really hard decision to make. We'll try to get to Splendore next time :)

Now to try and remember how to change my ticker..
