One thing to think about is whether you will be going out a lot at night for drinks and then trying to drive back to a villa. If you think your group is going to want to go out to the bars a lot, then you might want to stay somewhere within walking distance of Cruz Bay (Grande Bay, Lavender Hill, Gallows Point), or rent a villa very close to the Westin so that you can easily get cabs back and forth. I haven't been in a few years, but back then the taxis would not take you to the villas that were further out -- they wanted to go to the Westin and back. If your group is more of the drinking at the villa types, or if you have willing designated drivers, then it's not such a problem and you could look further out for a villa.
