Prayers for Rachel....

Thank you KT for the update. We are scheduled with Rachel when we arrive on Wednesday, but realize she most likely won't be back to work yet and we have every confidence that she will have arranged for an associate to cover her rides until she returns. Maybe we will get a chance to meet her on our return trip home in a couple of weeks.

Our prayers go out to Rachel and her family.

What saddness I feel for Rachel. I wonder if it's appropriate to call her number. We leave STJ on Thurs and Im wondering if I should confirm that her associate Marvin will be picking us up. She doesnt have my number. I hate not to call bc she was expecting me too but I dont want to interfere.

Seeing Rachel waiting for us at the airport after a long travel day has always been our confirmation that we have arrived in paradise. She is a big part of what makes our trips so memorable.

Just read about Ira's passing. I was so sorry to see it, even though it seemed like it was expected.

I pulled out her card, which does have an address on it. It is:

I had to call Rachel Sunday afternoon to tell her I missed my flight. At that time, she was very happy to hear from me...Ira had not passed away at that time. She had her friend Charles pick us up that night. He was so kind and upbeat...had some inspirational music playing that just soothed us so much!

I was not able to talk to Rachel last night, although we left messages for each other. I will connect with her today.

I just got off the phone with Rachel. Ira has not passed but it will be very soon. He is extremely weak and his organs are shutting down.

She is back on STT and just waiting to hear and she promised to call me as soon as she gets any news.

She will be working if she is able, but will arrange for others to cover for her if necessary.

She is very distraught, as one can imagine and any prayers or thoughts you can direct to her would be appreciated

Sorry to have misunderstood Rachel's associate on Sunday and passed along bad info. I would swear that was what he told us.

Hi Everyone,
Rachel picked up us yesterday, June 23...she told us her brother passed that morning about 5am. She was relieved he was no longer suffering but I could feel her sorrow and pain that he was gone.
Our prayers are with you Rachel.
