I've gotta ask...celebs on St John
I saw them get a table, but we got seated first. I certainly did not see them fussed over. It just looked like the staff managed to fit them in. Honestly, I had kids to manage so I did not do a whole lot of watching. This would have been Thanksgiving 1997.Pia wrote:Hey Rick - are you sure they seated him??
Morgans Mango is famous on STJ for saying "so what" to himand turning him away (at least that is what I have been told over and over and over again)
It would be good to know

LMAO Cat...that was when I was short too
I have zero interest in meeting any "celebrities" because the last thing I would like to realize is that in reality they are a jerk.

p.s. I would probably point them out to the rest of my krewe though, but like Cat said...they probably wouldn't even know who I was talking about.

That is what I'd expect. I think the staff at Morgan's (or most St. John restaurants) would try to fit in would-be diners regardless of whether they were famous or not. That's their business.
I think what people may have heard is that Morgan's will not put celebrities ahead of non-celebrities. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. If what we've heard is true, the celebrities who don't mind this policy keep coming back. I'm not sure where the other ones end up!
