Casa Bueno vs. Apito

Post by kristen1206 »

Now I'm between these two villas. I love the decor of Apito but for a little more, Casa Bueno is larger with a heated pool. They are both on Mamey Peak. Does nayone know which has a better view?

I am looking at the exact 2 villas. We must have similar tastes. Hoping for some input from those in the know!!

Nice to have someone else with the same dilemma :) How many people are in your party? We are two couples traveling together. Let me know what you decide!

I would stay at Casa Bueno - it is a lot larger and looks absolutely beautiful. Both of these were on the top of our list for this summer - Casa B. was booked so we are staying at Apito.

I have not seen Apito, so I can offer no comment on the villa except that it looks very attractive from the web pages.

I have stayed at Casa Bueno - last October/November, and it was wonderful. We hope to spend time there again. You may find...

I will attempt to contact the owner to confirm here, but I am sure these two changes have been made.

I can confirm that there is now a large outdoor table on the covered verandah and the pool is solar heated. It's a great house.

Apito

Post by stltimmy »

Stayed here this past Feb. Fantastic villa, as you mentioned the decor is outstanding.

When is your trip? The pool at Apito is not heated, and in Feb was a bit chilly at times. They do have a nice outdoor area on each level with multiple chairs and tables for dining/drinking.

I cannot comment on CB. But the owners of Apito and their management company provided a hassle free trip for myself. If I were not one to explore, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Oh, the owner did mention that they were looking into solar heating for the pool, so you may want to email him to inquire.

Email from the Casa Bueno property manager:

"Linda,
We do have a new outdoor dining table, and also a solar heater for the pool.
Thank you!

Edited to add:

I just heard from the owner of Casa Bueno, and she tells me that these items have also been added to the villa amenities:

single-serve coffee maker that works with coffee capsules or your favorite grind

ice cream machine

margarita blender

booster car seat and pack&play for the little ones

Dining outside at the new table is delightful...
And the pool is WARM!

And if Marc Miller is the property manager, which, from lprof's post looks to be the case, you'll be in good hands!

Marc Miller is the one I have been emailing with questions about Casa Bueno.

Can anyone comment on the views between the two villas? Are they comparable or is one better than the other. It looks like CB's may be a bit better (just from the photos i have seen)?

Diana..is the solar heater a solar cover that lays on top of the pool?
