Cruz Bay to Salomon Bay

Post by kristen1206 »

If we opt to stay in in Cruz Bay, can we walk to the Lindt Point Trail to get to Salomon? How far of a walk would it be?

Thanks

Hi Kristen1206,

From the beginning of the trail I would say about 20 minutes at the most & that is with chairs, cooler & beach bag.

Do you mean from Cruz Bay to the beginning of the trail or from the beginning of the trail to salomon/ I have hiked the trail to the beach before., I was just wondering if it is a reasonable walk from Cruz bay to the start of the trail.

That would be highly dependent upon where in Cruz Bay you'd be starting.

My wife and I have been to St. John twice and stayed at Estate Lindholm both times, just up the hill from Cruz Bay. We hiked to Saloman and Honeymoon several times and found that it was a pretty easy hike. I wouldn't recommend with kids 6 and under and elderly people, but overall a pretty easy walk even with all of the beach "stuff". If you haven't booked a villa yet, you may want to look at Estate Lindholm it is very laid back and you feel like you are the only people staying there most of the time. Just my $.02 worth.

We own a place at Grande Bay and always walk to Salomon. It takes us about 10 minutes to get to the trail head and another 25 minutes on the Lind Point Trail. It is one of our favorite things to do and I would highly recommend it.

Estate Lindholm looks nice but we need a 2 bedroom place. Maybe next time!
