Stayed at Dream Come True in 2007. Beachfront home (rocky beach), three equal sized bedrooms, great A/C (bedrooms only), direct private access to Dever's Bay which has great snorkeling.

Our favorite is Far Niente. Two equal king bedrooms, and a third bedroom, setup offers great privacy. It is close to Cruz Bay, yet in a quiet area. The pool deck is awesome. Has A/C in whole house and has everything you need. We have stayed many places on STJ, and this one was our favorite. PM me with any questions, just stayed there recently.

We stayed Esprit de la Vie in Jan of 2010. I would not recommend it. Someone earlier mentioned the power lines which were a major bummer (never thought I'd say that!) really ruined a nice view. The house is one up from the road so alot of noise when trucks went by. The pool is in need of repair (missing tiles, hot tub not operable) Poorly constructed with a ill fitting screens so bugs were an issue. It needed a good cleaning for sure as it was pretty dirty. The appliances are on thier last leg- ice maker broken, dishwasher broke during our visit but was repaired. This is minor but a major one with me... it has without a doubt the worst coffee maker in the history of the world. The coffee maker had no timer so you had to start it it when you got up and then it would drip out drip, drip drip- it took 45 minutes to make one pot but the worst part was that you couldn't pull the carafe out and pour a cup cuz the switch to stop the flow of coffee was broken.
For the price you can do way better. The area is beautiful however but stay someplace else.

we stayed at L'Esprit de la Vie last summer and loved it!. Very private, 4 equal bdrms. and a gorgeous view. The only problems we had (but we didn't really care) were the hot tub part of the pool doesn't get warm, and once in awhile there's some big truck noise on the road down in front of the pool area. You can't see the trucks but you can hear them occasionally. We liked that we were able to walk to Ditlif point and check it out too.
