Narrowed down choices, stayed here? Other suggestions?

Post by Tim from Chicagoland »

Down to 5.
Villa Mar de Amores
Satinwood
Soft Winds
Treetops
La Sirena
Anyone have an opinion on these? Other places similar?

My needs/wants;
Pool, Great Kitchen, View, 3 Bedrooms, Cable, WiFi, AC Beds, AT&T cell reception

Would like to be secluded but not isolated. No neighbors.

Looking at the begining of low season next year.

Last renting at Rendezvous 5 years ago, which was a fine location. Don't really care about location. Plan on doing a lot of driving snorkeling everyday & cooking most of our dinners at the villa. I love to cook. Fresh fish is really important too.

Thanks in advance.

I have stayed at Lille Paradis which shares a driveway with La Sirena making the later less than secluded in my opinion. The two are side by side.

I have not stayed at any of the places but I like Treetops and Villa Mar de Amores. Also like the looks of these villas and their kitchens:

I have stayed in the first two - Casa Bueno and Villa Carolina - each has a very workable full kitchen. Both have amazing views of Coral Bay and beyond; Villa Carolina offers views of Drake Channel and toward Johnson's Bay as well. Both have all paved drives and are close to Maho and other north shore beaches with Casa Bueno being the closest. Both these villas offer total seclusion and privacy with no other houses in sight, although each does have one close neighbor. We really liked both of these villas and they are our two top picks when we think of our next trip to STJ. The pools are comparable in size with Casa Bueno having a solar heater. Casa Bueno is totally AC; Villa Carolina has AC in all bedrooms.
Please PM me with any specific questions.

And you may see some of my pics on the first VRBO listing and one on the Villa Carolina website.

La Sirena is one of our favorite villas in a great part of the island. You are within walking distance of two secluded coral rubble beaches. Kittle & Grootpan. Salt pond is a bit of a hike but doable.

It is a two level villa with the kitchen and living area on the top entry level with two bedrooms and a bath for each on the lower pool level. The pool level is reached by a circular iron stair. On the pool level is a cabana that became the main gathering place for us when we stayed there. The pool deck furniture was comfortable and abundant.

The kitchen is a compact u shape with a very nice tinted cement counter. Comfortable for one to work in with enough counter space. Two can be a tight fit. If I remember correctly it was reasonably outfitted.

There is a loft bedroom above the kitchen that looks over the living space. I've attached a photo of the view from the front porch off the living area and looking out at Kittle Bay. You can see Lille Paradis that you share the drive with. We found that we had sufficient privacy between the two villas. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to PM me.
