In the event that you wish to make a donation and do NOT want your name
published, just write "Anonymous" or "Do not publish" in the "Instructions
to Merchant" field. If you miss it, just send an email to the webmaster. :)

WE ARE OVER $2,200!!!!!

And the good thing is that the ACC of St. John is the benefactor. Nice.

Our family's first trip to STJ is fast approaching. I never had the pleasure to meet Mr. B, but I remember reading some posts from him. So sorry to hear of his passing, may he rest in peace. I am happy to have made a donation in his memory. Prayers to his family and friends.

Thank you for your donation! Be sure to stop in and see Ruth at St. John Spice. As you get off the people ferry you will see a 2 story building at the end of the pier on the right. Ruth is upstairs. I promise you she will welcome you to the island with open arms. Tell your friends and family to watch for your arrival using the St. John web cam. It updates every few minutes. So they can get a pic of your arrival! Then you can write your name in the sand so the camera can pick it up. Remember, that is just the beginning of your St. John excursion. Oh there is so much more. Guys, tell her!

Hi Barbara!

This Jo is a her, not a him! Common mistake, it is short for Josephine!

I am definately stopping in to see Ruth and get some of those great spices I have read so much about! Can't wait to meet her! Yes, we plan on doing the webcam "Hi" and hope we manage to get on! I will do my best to post photos and a trip report; although I am not as good of a writer as many of the forum members are!

Take care,
Jo

Donation done - easy peasy. :)

Very happy to do so. Even though I've never met Mr.B, the tribute was so touching to me and I am also a huge animal lover so it was a no brainer.

Okay I corrected the "him". I should know better. My middle name is Jo. I sure do hope you enjoy your visit. My fav beach is Trunk Bay. And Ruth has more than spices. She has good quality t shirts. I have to say it that way cuz I am a connoisseur of t shirts. We are looking forward to your trip reports.

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Mr. B but I offer my condolences on his passing.

I was happy to make a donation in his memory. As I sometimes say: I am not an animal lover... I am an animal adorer! I enjoy all of the creatures that I meet on STJ during each trip.

RIP MR. B

It's somewhat mind-blowing. I suspect they're sitting down there, watching this pour in and are utterly amazed.

Even quasi-dysfunctional families can pull it together when it's needed.

Looking like the next update may just push it over the $3,000 mark.

Done! Thank you to all the people responsible for keeping John's memory alive. Not ever meeting John and Amy it feels as though I have known them for years. I will also have a different perspective every time I see an animal on STJ. MRB thank you!

I have been checking in with my forum family, reading, crying, laughing but most of all just thinking in utter amazement of how loved you all make me feel and how much kindness you have all shown. I really have no words to say how grateful I am. John and I used to call ourselves thread killers. Never could I imagine the outpouring of love and support or that he would have a memorial page on the ACC or that so many would honor him in such a way. At home we mainly kept to ourselves. It was just him and I and our cats in our little world aside from the once a year trip to hang out with friends in the Virgin Islands. I bet he is up in heaven shaking his head in amazement too. Our business is a lonely one, the dogs and cats don't talk much but even our clients have amazed me in their support and there are going to be so many coming to the service. I had never realized the impact he made.

Thank you to everyone who posted, sent pictures, helped with song suggestions, donated, called, e-mailed, sent sand and water from St John!, and especially thanks to Ruth, Barbara, RickG and the St John ACC for setting up the wonderful memorial.

Barbara has been a friend in deed as she has kept me going through her e-mails and phone calls of support. Thanks Anthony for letting that crazy Jorge back on the forum. No one with a wife so loving and caring could be that bad. Not to blow his cover but he is just a big teddy bear too (a crazy, say-whats-on-his-mind teddy bear).

It just goes to show you that the people that come to this forum and visit the USVI are some of the most caring in the world. I'm glad John and I were able to experience this kind of love and friendship together. The beauty in your hearts matches the beauty of those islands.

Love you,
Amy
