reporting from Kauai
We are in Kauai right now. I can't wait to tell you about it. Today I thought of this forum. Planning this trip I came to this forum to pick the destination. Then I read your trip reports for activities, day trips, and places to stay. Today I took great pictures with my canon t1i, that was recommended by this forum. And lastly, I am posting this with my Ipad. I never realized how much I depend on this forum for advice and how much I love to share with this forum. We are having a great vacation.

Gina - when you get back, let me know how you like the Canon T1i. I'm thinking of buying the T2i (basically the same camera) for our summer trip. Hit me on FB when you get back.
Peace out.
Peace out.

Jorge, we are staying in Hana for 3 nights. We did the road to Hana about 13 years ago, before we had ever been to St. John.
I'm real interested to see if it is that bad after experiencing St. John roads and Calabash boom. Although I think part of the problem to Hana is the one lane aspect for at least part of it.

Loved that road! We stayed in Hana 2 nights on our first and so far only trip to Maui. That was our fave part of the island. So fun to put the top down and cruise along those curves, spotting random waterfalls en route. And we loved visiting O'heo Gulch and hiking the Pipiwai Trail. Sigh...Jorge wrote:Gina,
Did you drive the road to Hana?
Hey XOXO and Ron, I can't wait to read your trip reports! No island trip for us this year... so I'm living vicariously.
