A Maho Morn
A Maho Morn
After getting to Little Lameshur late one day and finding about a zillion other folks, we re-learned our lesson and got going early each day. We hit Maho two different mornings to find Kenny the Aqua Bistro bartender doing aqua exercises as a part of his therapy for stroke recovery. He was just finishing as we arrived and then we had Maho to ourselves for a while. Not bad!

Well, we had to ourselves until these two showed up to walk it. Anyone recognize those legs?

I spent a long time just wading around and then stood quietly as two turtles hung around me and popped their heads up every couple of minutes. All in all, not a bad way to start a day in the life, you know?

Was this just recently that you found all those folks on LIttle Lamshur late in the day? We are late day beach people (we have 2 20 yr olds traveling with us; need I say more) We havent been to STJ in 6 yrs and knew it has gotten alot more popular and therefore more people on those out of the way beaches. But STJ with more people is better than not being in STJ at all. Just curious about what to expect. We leave in 2 1/2 wks.
pS Great photo!
BillVT, Yes that's Moe and his beau.
phyl, We got to Little Lameshur around 11:30a.m. and it was packed.
Augie, other then the first trip to Little Lameshur we were on the beaches around 7:30. We usually had near total solitude until 10:00. By 11:00 they were packed, at least by STJ standards.
In the next few days I'll post about Brown Bay, Vie's and Jumbie.

This was where I was when the turtles were doing a private morning performance for me. I'm the little insignificant white speck in the water:
