Wedding License in STT ( a good laugh/scare)

Post by LiamH »

Since you all have been so helpfull, I hope this story makes you laugh!

I called the court house to check on my wedding license & they said who? :) (We sent the application in March..)
The fiance' had a cow and started losing her mind.
She tried to drag me down to NYC city hall that day to get married & do the church wedding in STJ.

Lucky for me I have been down to STT/STJ enough and you have all schooled me on "Island Time". The lady at the courthouse was great about it, but the wife wants me to handle it..

SO: I get a great excuse to fly down two weeks b4 the wedding to make sure all is in order..

The hit list:
1.) Re-apply for my wedding license.
2.) Find Shay at St John's cakes for the yummies.
3.)Chat with Gayle at Bou-Quet for the flowers
4.) Drop by Zozos to chill with Ben
5.) Catch up with Michael from the CSN band.
6.)Find a boat to take us fishing and to Yost.

If nothing else, I get one heck of a wedding story to tell!

You will have a great wedding. My hubby and I got married on the island in 2008 and our trip to STT for our license was pretty funny too. It was kind of like getting a library card. Raise your hand..you like her? yes...you like him? yes...stamp stamp, sign and sign and your out the door.

Great place to start a life.

Best of luck

Shay's cakes are the best! He made our 2001 cake and also a couple of our anniversary cakes.

If the Lion boys are back on island, I recommend them. They left for a family emergency in mid-May. Josh is a great captain (Lion in Da Sun) and their boat is a nice ride.

Good luck and have a fabulous wedding!

It's a rule that that something is always going to go wrong in the course of carrying out a wedding--you got your glitch out of the way early!

Congratulations!
