Any Ideas for High School Graduation Gifts?
We have several friends and neighbors with kids graduating from high school this year. Since we're going to more than a few parties, I'd like to keep the gifts to around $25-35 each. I'm thinking of ordering college logo tee shirts but is that too boring? A fleece blanket with the school logo? Maybe a gift card to the school bookstore? (also boring?) Or I was thinking about some kind of organizational whatever for a dorm room.
All the grads are girls if that makes a difference.
If you have a college freshman, what were the most useful / favorite gifts he or she got?
Thanks for any ideas!

The idea of a fleece blanket/throw with the college logo and/or the girl's monogram in a corner, appeals to me.
I have not given such a gift and have not used this website... it is only an example.

A bath caddy that will hold all the students toiletries with coordinating bright colored towels, flip flops etc.
I saw a really funny towel that had face written on the top and butt written on the bottom. Fun gift especially for the male graduate.
Gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Goods or Target etc for stuff for their dorm.

I have a daughter who just finished her first year of college and two more kids graduating for HS in a couple of weeks.
Around here, unless you are a particularly close friend, most people just give cash or gift cards which are GREATLY appreciated!
If you want to go gift, be sure you speak to the parents to see what items for the dorm they haven't gotten yet. Some of us have already gotten things like shower caddies, dry erase boards, etc... (don't laugh at me, I like to get organized early). The parents might already know what "color theme" their child will have in their dorm, too; a throw blanket to match would be wonderful!
Good luck!

Great ideas, thank you! I wasn't going to ask the parents because they'll probably say "don't get anything!" but that's a good idea to check and see what dorm stuff the kids already have.
Shopping for these nice kids is going to be a nice release for me after dealing with weeks of work craziness and the stress of medical *&^%$ my DH is going through.
Thanks again!
