Greenskeeper wrote: For a nice night out I really enjoyed Caneel Bay. We did the Monday night buffet. The food was very good I only wished we had a table that was not in the middle of the restaurant. The tables off to the sides were more removed and could be more private and romantic. Before dinner we sat up on the upper deck area and had cocktails while we watched the sunset. Torches lit all the paths and tropical music played setting the tone for a wonderful evening. I highly recommend it. Make ressies and ask for a table close to the water (use the honeymoon card to your advantage!)
I have to second the Caneel suggestion. For a romantic dinner I suggest you make reservations at the Equator at Caneel for their 6:30 dinner sitting. Arrive a few minutes early to insure that you get an outside table. Tell them it's your honeymoon. It's a beautiful spot.

Speaking of Caneel, don't they do private dinners on the beach? Possibly something to look into.

That would be awesome! Would they do that for someone who is not a guest of the resort?

I'm not sure about the dinner on the beach (I know they do picnic lunches on the beach through I do know that do private dinners in the ruins at Caneel. Call their consierge desk to see if they arrange that for unregistered guests.

Ive gotten in touch with the consierge at Caneel and they are willing to set up a private dinner on the beach for us! (Even though we are not guests of the resort). Thanks for the idea jayseadee. I never would have thought of it since we aren't staying there.

We are doing a package at caneel called the chill out package for non guests. It's an hour massage for each of us, lunch and use if beach chairs, beach etc. I've never been to Scott Beach so I thought this would be a good way to hang for the afternoon!
