Activites that "go together"

Post by BRY1105 »

In your experience, what island activities do you enjoy that "go together" and make for a good day. Example, seems to me that visiting the Annaberg ruins and snorkeling Waterlemon would would be a good day.

I'm not the only one here who's got something else entirely different in mind, am I?

Where are Bev and the other members of the Immaturity Club when I need them?

One of our favorite days is to hike to Salomon (starting at the national park office), hand there, then walk to honeymoon and end up at Caneel for drinks and app or lunch.....depending on how long we stay at the beach...take taxi back to Cruz Bay

The beauty of STJ is that the island is so relatively small that you can easily do one thing on one end of the island and then do something all the way at the other end with little difficulty.

Your only true barriers are:

1) if there are any parking spaces left at the beach you want to go to (if not, improvise or move to another one)

2) How hot it is and whether you brought enough water with you to hydrate

3) How hungry you get

4) How lazy you are-- the island gravity has a way of sucking you in and slowing you down to a ridiculous pace.

5)How much money you want to spend

But for giggles here are my groupings most involve activity AND food (go figure!):

A) Salt Pond, drunk bay hike, tourist trap

B) Francis, driev to east end, vies and visit to Sloop Jones (If Vies is closed go to Skinny's)

C) Annaberg, Waterlemon Cay (go COUNTER CLOCKWISE around key -- you'll thank me later); Skinny Legs

D) EARLY AM -- hit Jumbie while there are still some spaces left. Stay there as long as possible and then head to Cruz Bay for Deli Grotto for late lunch followed by some light shopping at Mongoose Junction. (Bring change of clothes so you aren't shopping in a soggy suit).

How's that for a start?
*Another fine scatterbrained production

Ram Head (early start), chilling at Salt Pond, late lunch at Tourist Trap.

Any beach followed by an afternoon massage at the house (nomadic spa is my fav).

Jost day trip with take-out Uncles Joe's for dinner at the house.

Always a day in East End. Morning at Haulover, lunch at Vie's, afternoon on Vie's beach. We always bring along some food and drink just in case Vie's not there.

Not that I'm counting, but I believe you've mentioned this twice today. You do know, of course, that you'll be combining Salt Pond with a Ram Head hike this year. Yes you will!

Love to spend most of the day at Little Lameshur enjoying the beach and snorkeling, then late lunch/early dinner at Shipwreck.

Pick up carryout Creole shrimp dinner at Sogos and take back to the villa for dinner on the deck, watching the sunset.

Shopping at Wharfside, especially at Freebird, then lunch at The Balcony (now called Spyglass, I think).

Daysail out of Coral Bay with Long Distance, then dinner at Shipwreck when you get back.
