Got pics of Cinnamon Bay cottages and campground?
Got pics of Cinnamon Bay cottages and campground?
So I have a week booked at cottages #10 for 4 nights and cottage 9 for 3 nights. Been to STJ 5 yrs in a row and never went to Cinn. Bay. Really looking forward to the new island experience (we always stayed in a villa previously, but we're avid campers at home in the NY through VT area)!
Anyone got some pics I can drool over for the next few months till we get down there in Nov.?
Really interested in what our views and surroundings will be from the cottages.
Thanks

Hi there,
I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but here are some of ours from Cinnamon Bay Campground, last May.
This is from the rental shack looking West:

As you approach the beach near the shack, looking West through the trees:

Same place, looking East:

Where you'll wash your dishes or get water to do the same at your cabin:

Cruz Views has CondoCat Dickhead/Sam. Cinnamon Bay Campground has CottageCrab Fred:

Looking East from the West end of Cinnamon Bay:

On arrival, you'll walk down a main path and turn left just before the beach. Your cottage will be on the far left (West). This is the path you'll be walking down:

This is taken from the bathhouse closest to your cottage, and you can see your units at the end:

This is the bathhouse:

Inside the ladies' room (dirty floors but it was the "week of rain" in May '09. They're no worse than your typical campground):

Here's the shower. If you slide the string that's tied to the railing toward the door, the water will run for a minute or so. If you get a stall that doesn't have this tie system, you only get water while you pull on the chain. I'm very conservative with water even here at home, but couldn't get the hang of holding onto that chain and twisting under the water

This is your set of cottages. You'll be just steps from the beach:

Watch out for these guys, when you cook or have food out. They are AWFUL BIRDS. Very sneaky and they don't give up:

We camp alot, too. ALOT. The only thing I'd do differently at CBC is ask for a broom the first day, and maybe every day, to sweep off the front and back veranda. The insides of the cottages were clean enough, but the patios/verandas, were dirty. I'd have felt much better if I'd just asked for a darned broom. If you have specific questions, feel free to PM me!
Enjoy!!!

Here's some photos from my 2008 and 2009 trips. I posted more than what you're looking for as the "Cinnamon Bay" title may attract those interested in other accommodation options.

The tent cottages. This one is very remote. Many are on flat ground.
