Electronic help please!!!!!!!!!

Post by Xislandgirl »

We are not bringing the laptop and I need a way to charge our Ipod and MP3.

Does anyone have a USB to AC charger? Where do I find one in the next 3 days that will work universally with any USB?

Thanks!

I have the JBL speaker for my ipod which doubles as a charger. Not cheap (about $79 I think, maybe more) but it has great sound. Its a little round donut shape and doesn't take much space.

Also, if you are renting a jeep you can get the car adaptor that will charge an ipod.

Those are pretty standard. Anyplace that sells MP3 players should have one.

I need even more electronic help than you do.

If by chance you end up with something that will charge the iPod AND will play it in your car, I'll buy it from you when you go. I need one of those.

I also saw a cool thing at Office Max that was like a "booster". You charge the thing up and then it recharges your iPod. I didn't buy it but it looked interesting and not very expensive.

This is a charger for the wall but...... if you look on line at Walmart, Radio Shack, Target, or Staples and find what you need, I will pick it up for you. I am shopping on Tuesday and Thursday and it is no problem at all.

Is this what you are looking for? Belkin Tune Base The only thing is that with the FM transmitter, it will only sound as good as the FM radio stations do.

Well, I was too dumb to know those existed. Mine recharges in my car stereo (which doesn't have a cord I can remove and take with me). I was wondering what I was going to do when I went to STJ (I didn't have an ipod last time I went). Thanks, Kirk. The one you suggested looks pretty good.

The iTrip (fm transmitter) and the car charger worked great for me on my last trip. My current car has the intergrated connector so I have managed to lose my iTrip. I think it might be in my husband's car. Hm....Only 220 days to figure this out!

Ruth, this is what I have.

It's kinda big and dorky, but it plays through the radio and works really good. It also charges my iPod while I play it (it plugs into the lighter or cell phone outlet in the car). I turn the sound on my iPod all the way up, then control the volume using the radio knobs.

I have one called TuneFlex. Works great, just Google it and you'll find a bunch. Hubby's Nano plugs in, charges and plays. My Shuffle plugs in and plays but doesn't charge on the particular model we've got.

Take a look at www.igo.com. They've got a wall charger where you can put different tips on the end of it. Just buy the tips that are compatible with the cell phone, ipod, blackberry, whatever you've got and you can charge them all off the same wall plug unit.

I have a simple USB travel Charger. Anything that has a USB cable to connect to a computer (PDA, MP3, IPOD) can use it.

They are cheap on ebay.
