questions about villa greeters

Two years ago we rented through Caribbean Villas but the owner of our villa met us at Conrad's to take us up. This summer, although villa is on a website we rented it directly through the owners at VRBO. The owner will met us at Conrad's. We've never tipped anyone to take us to our villa. Are we cheap??? :lol: Probably.....
