It looks like we might be looking at wet and sloppy track conditions. Rain may come down heavy and some horses have never been in the mud. Lookin' at Lucky is good example. His trainer Bob Baffert said that the horse has never had mud in his face before. So, he doesn't know how his horse will handle those conditions. Whereas your #3 pick Paddy O'Prado is supposed to be a very good mudder.
The overhead shot they've been using from the blimp is one of the coolest things to see on the TV coverage of the Derby. That really gives you an new appreciation for the skills of those jockeys.

No kidding! My 13 year old son picked right. I lost money all weekend, but we had fun. We went to the Oaks on Friday, but not the Derby on Saturday...actually a good choice weather-wise this year! It was beautiful Friday, nasty Saturday. Here is a very fuzzy iphone pic, taken as we were entering. Our friends took more with real cameras, but haven't sent them to me yet. If there are some good ones of the races, I'll post them too.SJfromNJ wrote:
When is someone going to shut down the rail on Mr. Bo-rail? This guy is smart and could win a race with one of the donkeys out on Centerline.
