I have a question

I'm curious about your days on powerboat or daysail to BVI's. Does your captain usually hang with you all day when your over at let's say Soggy Dollar or do they stay on boat or do there own thing?

Yesterday Mindy at Ocean Runner manned the boat for all snorkels, especially because one of the snorkels was a "drift" snorkel...ie, we drifted with the current and the boat did also.

For lunch she joined us at the table and the restaurant paid for her since she brought us to them. Apparently this is common but doesn't always happen. For Sandy Spit she manned the boat while we screwed around on the island....for Soggy Dollar the boat was anchored and she came to shore with us and hung out, we find this is also common.

Its pretty relaxed, follow what feels right. The boat captains are nice people making a living down here.

Captain John joined us at our table at Pirate's and Willy T. At Soggy Dollar he sat with us for a bit on the beach, but then my wife and I took a stroll one direction and he went the other. At Soggy, he knew A LOT of the people there and had no trouble entertaining himself.

He was more than welcome to hang with us. He's full of great stories.

I think in general they'll just take their cues from the guests. Don't hesitate to let the captain know if you'd like to have some time by yourselves for a while.
