Pretty much ready to go!

Post by Connie »

OK, I'm cleaning, I pretty much packed, think I have covered all my bases at home.

We're doing carry on. Husband has a duffel bag, I have a small suitcase. We're bringing a small collapsible cooler and that's about it!

Just printed out my boarding passes.

I'm looking at the Spice Cam and it looks pretty bad over in STT. Is that the Sahara dust? I don't care, we need this bad.

Hopefully see some people over at the Beach Bar on Sunday night. First night, we'll probably go to Lattitude 18 for a good dinner, some nice music on the water and then early to bed. So, if anybody wants to show up, come on over!

Also hoping to catch up with Majo Jim and Amy and anybody else that is on STJ.

It's finally here.

You so deserve this trip -- enjoy and let those who are at home deal with all of those things and enjoy yourselves!

I think it's amazing all the planning that "we" put into this trip. Haven't been back since May 2009, so it's been quite awhile :o)

Mom stopped over today and she's doing great. I gave her all my paperwork so she can call us if she needs to.

This is what I did today just to be able to feel better about leaving.

Packed.
Washed (packed again) after doing 2 loads of wash.
Went to buy essentials for the home.
Did the litter for the cats.
Went to CVS to pick up last minute things.
Vacuum the room with carpet.
Took care of the hardwood floors.
Dusted the whole house.
Cleaned the our bathroom
Cleaned the Kitchen.
Called work about a computer problem, it's bad, glad I'm gone.
Got gas for the car.

There's probably 10 more things that I did.

I think I need a maid or a helper next time!

I don't think it is Saraha Dust as it is too early in the year. I think Montserrat might have erupted but the official website is now only giving weekly reports so I can't find out for sure - hubby just thinks it is heat haze because, well, boy it is hot and humid.

I'm still working on my packing and making sure my Mother (89) has everything she needs while I'm gone. We don't leave until Saturday tomorrow I finish packing and do last minute stuff and my cleaning day will be Friday. woo hoo :D Hope to see you there, Connie.
