First USVI trip
Whoa, whoa! I didn't intend to bad mouth St Thomas. Love De Islands had stated that she was use to staying in villas and guest houses and more of the accommodations on STJ fill that preference. I tend to think of St Thomas in terms of beach resorts rather than villa accommodations. It is about personal preference rather than better or worse. Do you want the amenities of a single beach side location or the freedom but inconvenience of driving to a choice of beaches? Hopefully I haven't made Love De Islands choices more difficult.

Blue Beard's Beach Club is a great place to go with kids. It is smaller than most of the resorts on St. Thomas. There are kitchens in the units so you can breakfast there and do other meals away. Also it is very quiet, unlike the place we stayed in St. John where we were up all night listening to someone rev their boat engine.

This will give you a chance at B&B living in a well preserved and kept old family home. And you'll meet a guy, Ronnie, who is one of the best. I have never stayed there but know him well and can only say the best. Check out the prices.
Okay. Thanks.

If you let the people on this forum know of your preferences and price range, most likely someone will be able to point you to the right place. In the mean time there are a number of agency web sites that you can peruse. If you do decide to rent a villa on ST John remember that you will probably need a rental car.
