Trip report 4/10 - 4/16
I wish I was still there!!! I had a great week.Of course I'm planning the next trip now. I hit alot of beaches. It was rough out at Maho.Salt Pond was very calm. Great lunch at the Tourist Trap. I enjoyed chatting with Mary and Larry. The burgers were wonderful at Skinny's. The most surprising meal was at Morgan's Mango. I never had a great meal there, but decided to try it again. I went for the lobster special which is only served of Tuesday's . The service was wonderful and the lobster was to die for!!!!Reservations are a definite.I did get stung by jellyfish out at Hanson beach. I saw jellyfish out at Saltpond but didn't think much about them. But, the next day I was stung. I stopped by Vie's and she cut some fresh lime to put on the WELTS and then she cut up some aloe which helped (so did the cold beer).I had 2 lunches at Caneel. I didn't find it overpriced for the quality and quanity.I read some negatives on the Peace Pine market.Don't listen. If you need to pick up a few things, it is faster and cheaper than Starfish.I did make a mistake by taking a snorkel trip out from the Westin. I was not traveling with children do I need to say more.I felt like they were doing me a favor. Not friendly at all.Everyone keep to themselves which is no fun.I was told it was an open bar---NOT.They wouldn't serve till after snorkeling and then they did charge. It took us 1 hr to get to Water Island. The bait fish were running. This is cool to see but, I have seen it before. It is hard to snorkel through them. And, then another hour trip home.It would be great for kids but not worth it for experienced snorkelers.I picked up hitch hikers with no problems. The wings were great at the Spyglass. I had another good meal at RumbaLines. The roundabout was very easy to "navigate".Sorry about the condensed trip report. I will write more when time allows.
