St Thomas Trip Report 4/13-4/20 --PART3
On to Thurs-Friday...
Thursday was our daysail out of Redhook on Highpockets with Kathleeen and her fist mate Serena. This was an awesome trip we really enjoyed it. we left STT a little after 9:30 AM headed for the south side of STJ...had some drinks on the way...rum drinks and beers for us....we saw turtles, a big ray of some sort and a 5 foot shark! Yea! finally saw a shark!

Friday we did Gladys' restaurant...loved it!

And also did Lattitude 18 that evening...

Fun, fun, fun....

sherban,
Could you expand on high pockets? Did you head over to St John's area? was the snorkeling much different than what you see around? Was the price worth it? We are heading down in July and want to take some sort of boat trip but I am just not sure what we really want to do yet.

C3P1- We sailed out of St Thomas over to St John. The snorkeling is probably similar to what you would see walking out from the beaches on STJ....sometimes the sailboats moor in areas not easily accesible from the shore... The daysail is an experience in itself because you spend a couple hours sailing from Island to Island...you talk to the captain, crew, and other passengers, and you get waited on like an honered guest...so to speak. They provide open bar all day, help you with your snorkel equipment (provide it if needed) and cook you an awesome lunch. Lunch on highpockets is a great marinated chicken, pasta, and salad...then rum cake. I would reccomend you try a daysail for your self most people rave about them...not cheap but the "good stuff" usually isn't.c3p1 wrote:sherban,
