Yay, Shipwreck!! Shipwreck is the first place we ever ate on St. John on our first trip way back when (nearly 20 years now). We'll be there soon and we're looking forward to it, as always.

Thanks to all but Bev was at Shipwreck at our start of Happy Hour which is also shift change. The day
shift was proudly telling the night shift about our awards and I think she misunderstood.
We did win best wait staff and
in my humble opinion, well deserved but the second award which is consecutive for 4 years is for best steaks on island. Not that we did not deserve best restaurant but that is not actually a category.

Great to see you Bev and Crash and I enjoyed my Happy Hour with you two.

A steak is exactly what I'll be ordering in about 10 days, Pat. It's always one our best meals while we're there. See you soon.

Congratulations! We love Shipwreck and if we were awarding a prize, they would win "yummiest Key Lime Pie", "best fish dinners" and "best atmosphere with nice view out to the water".

SW Pat - do you know when you will be closed this fall? I am lobbying my DH for a fall trip, but we won't come to STJ until Shipwreck is open.

We always get drinks there when we go over to CB for the day. I've never eaten there but will definitely go for dinner on next trip. What's your favorite dish? Steaks??

Crash swears by the steaks....He and Capt. Jay got the strip steaks. I think MBW1024 got the T-Bone. All said they were great. Also the fish and chips is great. I had Scampi that was tasty.
I believe they are closing either the last weekend in Sept. or first weekend in Oct. (they hadn't decided which yet) and will be closed two months.
