Is it just me?
I'm from NY and live in NJ, so I *have* to let the "uptight northerner" comments roll off my back, or I'd be ticked off quite frequently. Actually, there are a lot of uptight people around here, but I don't think most of them make time for internet forums, and I don't think that they are especially attracted to places like St. John. Which is good for me.

While I agree with the sentiment of that, I must say that it is not only a fair percentage of us in the NE that this applies to, but everywhere in America.Xislandgirl wrote:Noreen, I could not agree with you more. The uptight folks up here would never go to STJ and if they did they would never "get it"!
Our first trip to STT/STJ, the 2nd half of the week was all but ruined by a fairly large group of people from outside of Charlotte, NC. Loud and always complaining at the resort (rooms dirty, staff surly, food horrible), and this continued thru the week, to the airport, and until the plane we were all on landed in Charlotte. Not that it was without humor...the 'horrble food' comment came while comparing the food to Paris...they claimed that the food at the resort was bad, but the food in Paris was slightly WORSE!!!

But, we choose to look at the bright side. If not for these.............people.............we would not have escaped to STJ, and made it our home for the week for the following years vacation!
What? They were from Charlotte (southerners) and weren't polite? Maybe they were originally from the north!
KIDDING!!
Folks from ANYwhere can be rude....I've lived in NYC, PA, NC and SC.....there's always SOMEone you want to kick in the rear.
