Connections

Post by lavender »

Going to be on island in two weeks!!! I wanted to send a box of things down to Connections - do I still need an "account" there? I remember a few years ago I did this and I believe I had to call them and set up an account so they would know to expect something - is that still the case? Thanks!!!!

No need to have an 'account', but always a good idea to call and let them know to expect your package. You can even do this by email if you like. I know they appreciate this gesture if your box is large like ours was last summer. (and will be again in a couple of months!)

The ladies at Connections are awesome and their business model really makes me think of 'only in St. John'!

just sent couple of priority mail boxes (w/confirmation) down last week (USPS) and took 4 business days. Sent to the Connections in Coral Bay, and called them @ week ahead. They just took our name and approx date was mailing boxes. Then when I checked & saw they were there, called again and confirmed with the great ladies that work there that boxes had been delivered.

All our contacts with STJ people have been so very pleasant and can't wait till get there tomorrow to hopefully meet them all.

Good luck.
No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.

As an alternative to sending items in advance of your arrival . .

Don't forget that, if you are one or an airline's elite members (Aadvantage Gold, etc.), your extra baggage fees may be waived.

Good idea to call in advance. Also be sure you know when closing time is as they may close before you get on island and may have to return to get your package the next day.

Some villa rental co's also offer this service (ship to them directly and they bring to villa) but double check costs in advance, as they may charge a hefty fee.
*Another fine scatterbrained production
