Looking for an inexpensive villa for three...

Post by augie »

My oldest son is taking a lab class this summer, so he won't be coming with us on our "introduce the boys" trip to STJ.

So...our trip for four just became a trip for three - Leslie and I, and our 17 year old son.

After doing the airline fee hide-and-seek game for a few weeks I finally pulled the trigger on RT from MIA to STT for $218 pp. Not bad for non-stop flights, and I didn't get the feeling that they were likely to go lower (although if they do now, any of you that can take advantage of that can thank me!)

We'll be on island from July 13-20, Tuesday-Tuesday. Not looking for luxury, but given the time of year, A/C in the sleeping area(s) probably close to a must have. Preferred location would be anywhere from Bordeaux east, to have quicker access to the north shore, east end, and southeast snorkeling beaches.

If we end up somewhere else on the island we'll certainly be OK with that, I'm just pumped that we're going!

Thanks!

Ugh... those summer labs!

Not a villa but inexpensive... in Coral Bay with AC and a grill...

"Harbor Place Too"... right behind Coccoloba... looks like $1325 total.
... no longer a stranger to paradise

Augie,
we are staying (i think) at fairwinds and following seas in May--i am not sure about the AC situation but it has kind of a cool layout and it's not expensive as villas go.

Also, If you DON"T need a view check out sweet spice (valley view over josephines)

There's alot out there. I did a quick check for your dates on VRBO.COM and here are a few that came up available. I didn't look really closely at the details but it shows me that you have choices.

Sea Breeze http://www.vrbo.com/229736 AC?
Monkey No Climb http://www.vrbo.com/219688
Sea Rock http://www.vrbo.com/158662 a little further out

So happy for you! Enjoy sharing STJ with your son. Just think, your other son will need his introduction at another time so you will have something exciting and new to look forward to in the future. Have a great time!
