We're here.....part 1

Post by rpplano »

We made it to STJ!! Arrived Monday afternoon, got jeep (Courtesy), settled into villa (Cinnamon Tarn),went to Candie's for ribs (AMAZING!!), met Candie; also met Hercules there who was eating dinner - nice gentleman. Chilled out & early to bed (exhausted!)

Tuesday - drove over to Coral Bay....spent a little time with Mr. Guy Benjamin (always go to see him), went by Vie's (swamped with a safari taxi full of "tourists"!!), then on to Sloop Jones studio - even they were full of people!....however were able to commission a driftwood sign in soft blues & greens that said KEEP LEFT by Sloop. Had lunch at Shipwreck Landing which was also crazy-busy with tons of people...didn't mind though - just chilled out & ate the best blackened Mahi sandwich. Stopped by Josephine's to get some fresh greens & tomatos for salad tonight. Back to the villa for a little 'villa gravity' time before we head out to Cruz Bay for a little while.

A few pics below.

Rachel Brown, an awesome taxi driver to Red Hook.

So thrilled for you!
Awesome view from the hacienda!
Live it up! Can't wait to hear more. Any chance you can post a photo of the Sloop driftwood piece? Love to see it. Sounds like you're making more than a few wonderful stops, and meeting great people!
Have fun, and always

I shot a pic with my camera of the sign. Unfortunately, I only brought a SD card reader that reads Robyn's camera, not mine! UGH. So, we can only post her pics until we get home. If we never go home again, I'll buy an XD card reader on island. :D

How neat is that?

Are you still planning to be at the BB on Sunday? If so, around what time? Hubby & I are going to try to make it down there.
