My suitcase still has space
An inside joke I imagine? I'm certain my version is more fun than the real story.cat wrote:nothintolose, No worries! I packed it just in case there is no mirror in the jeep.![]()
I'm sure there are mirrors at the villa!
Jamming to a fine new CD. Eric Lindell is a smooth groove!

Rick, I took a mirror on a camping trip we took for a few days a few years ago and have never heard the end of it!RickG wrote:An inside joke I imagine? I use the mirror on the truck when we go camping. Trying to do my hair in a side mirror is not fun and just looks silly, but I do it anyway.
Re: Traveling light
Yep, I travel to the islands about the same way I used to travel on a motorcycle when I was in college. Well, I swap the sleeping bag for a snorkel bag and skip the towel. It's amazing how much space you save by leaving the towel at home when you stay at a villa.njhdrider wrote:Since I have traveled on my Harley for twenty plus years, I have always traveled light...it wasnt till recently that I began overpacking..LOL

I'm with you about being prepared for just about anything! I can do it in one suitcase and a carry on but no way can I do the just carry on. Liquids make that a thing of the past!Xislandgirl wrote:I have never in my life traveled with just a carry on.
When I am on vacation I have been known to buy tickets to a Gala fundraiser for a local charity (Bahamas) or decide to zip line through the rain forest.(Roatan)
I like to be prepared for whatever comes my way.

X-Island girl-
Don't you just LOVE it when people you're taveling with give you crap about packing too much stuff? But guess who they come to when they figure out they forgot their:
sunblock or bathing suit (Flip Flop I'm thinking of out and me at the Mandarin Oriental for our spa day)or snorkel gear etc. ?
Like you, I have NEVER been able to make it with just a carry on -- ever. I firmly believe it will be a sign of the Apocolypse if I ever do.
Maybe it's the size 11 shoes (or the fact that I have to pack at least 4 pair of them). Maybe it's the fact that I'm NOT a petite size 4 and maybe it's because my makeup bag weighs as much as a small child. Not that I wear THAT much makeup but I am a cosmetics junkie.
Who knows?
As I always tell my husband, most women come with emotional baggage - I come with REAL baggage!
