FYI.
My daughter and husband ordered Reef sandals on-line and ordered 1/2 size larger than their regular size, and when the sandals came, they are way too small.

Flip-Flop, we must have been a litter of triplets! At last count I have 25 pair..just got 4 new pair from J.Crew, they are my mainstay..and I have various others, "fu-fu" etc.I have even been know to wear flip-flop socks in the winter...I have "fat little feets" and they are only happy in flops!I guess I was given away cause of that wild look in my eye!

Down to 25 days!

I just love the J.Crews and got my recent fix --- the pink white and green grosgrain & the pink w/ sailboats :) Love them. So comfy.

I also come back at the end of the season and often can get them for CHEAP!!!

My daughter is having a heck of a time finding what she wants in flip-flops and we don't live very near a mall or any good shopping actually.
She found ones with piano keys on them a year ago at Hot Topic and wants them again, but they are discontinued. Has anyone seen anything like that?

I go to the J Crew outlet and buy them on clearance at the end of the season. Talk about CHEAP!

Mom must have figured out early on that we would grow up with a fondness for things "not cheap" (i.e., St. John vacations) and that she better ditch one of us before things got out of hand.

MY hands down fave (an dflip flop already knows this) is Eliza B-- and they are made in the USA. They're not cheap but they will even do custom orders. Plus you get to pick what kind of sole you want. I love them. Plus they do matching bags and belts. Not that I'm a matchy matchy girl, but for those that are...

Look at this pair with a stash drawer built in for key and credit card...what will they think of next? (stole this from the TTOL board)

Gromit - You have just provided me my new obsession. I LOVE those Eliza B flip-flops. How cute are they? I might have to have a pair despite their definitely non-cheap price! :D

jmq found the hide-a-way pair - I remembered someone on the board mentioning them quite some time ago - but I wouldn't have been able to remember who made them!! Good call. Also, as for the JCrew flops - HUGE fan!!! Last year I bought two pair and that is all I wore on my two week trip to the islands last year - I had the pair with the beach chairs and umbrellas which I wore to the beach and then I have a pair with the margaritas which I called "my drinking shoes" I wore them out!!! Fun stuff! Just a word of advice - the bottoms of the JCrews wear out pretty bad - I have slipped after quite a few times...and it wasn't cause I was wearing the drinking shoes! Just be careful once the bottoms wear down!

I will echo what every one else has said that the prices are all about the same but I do want to make a comment on service, not just from rental car companies but from many island business.

As tourists we expect certain things to be the same as the states and they are most certaily not. You will not find high tech computer programs at your car rental agencies and owners and employees are nothing like the folks at an airport counter in the states.

I am not saying that any of the "bad" experiences are not valid, but I will say that a good atittude and a smile will go further than you can imagine.

Thanks for the help everyone & now I must go shopping!

I Love my Reef fannings with the bottle opener on the bottom for the beach. However, my very favorite walking around flip/sandals are from a little Cuban shop down in Key West called Kino's (http://www.kinosandal.com/) You would never believe how comfortable these babies are. I have 12 pairs of these. Very neat.
